Chrysalis

I have a couple pencil projects I'm working on that I'd mostly like to save until I'm done, but here's a preview of one series I hope to finish soon. It's a chrysalis for an imaginary butterfly, though you may be able to tell it's very similar to a monarch butterfly's cocoon. The only other thing I'll say about the project it's heavily inspired by my vacation in Paris this summer. I've finished one other piece for the project, so I just have one left before it's done.

This piece is all graphite, on 9"x12" drawing paper.
