I Love California

I don't know about you, but I hella love California.

Sorry about the long absence, folks, Paris took a lot more out of me than I expected. I have some more work to post though, and a few sketches from my trip.

This piece was done all in one go, in watercolor and gouache. The original is 12"x18". It took a lot of effort to get over how geographically nonsensical this piece is. Look, I know that Coit Tower and the Transamerica pyramid are nowhere near close together, and that Telegraph Hill is covered in buildings, and Half Dome isn't near the bay or Golden Gate bridge. But it looks cool, right?

Inspired, as no doubt some of you have guessed, by the sheet music for "I Love You California," below.

Hello, I love your work! I have been much inspited by the bear hugging California too. You can see all my versions scattered around on this page: http://www.3fishstudios.com/collections/gallery/all
